PassPack, the secure online password manager, is coming out of beta. A brief description of the service from their website:

Passpack is an online password manager that stores sensitive information in a secure environment protected by a US Government approved algorithm. This information is available to users anywhere with Internet. Passpack provides users convenient 1 Click Login, organizational features, and safety precautions such as double pass phrase protection and anti-phishing mechanisms.

I have been using PassPack for a few months now and it has proven very useful. I sign up for just about any new site/service that comes out, I have several email accounts, and I use multiple computers and browsers. I get tired of trying to remember passwords. PassPack allows me to login securely to all my sites and services with a single click.

PassPack Pro

PassPack is one of the start-ups that seems to be doing just fine in our rough economic times. They have chosen a very common business model, releasing Passpack Pro today. This will be the first of 3 Premium upgrades and offers more storage, more Disposable Logins, and more message sharing. This seems to be a push to make the service more useful for small businesses and freelancers who are interested in secure data storage.

How Does it Work?

Passpack stores whatever sensitive data you’d like, including your logins and passwords. You use a special bookmarklet for 1-Click Login, or you can cut/paste directly from the website. You can even store multiple logins for the same site and PassPack will allow you to pick which one you want from a menu. Here is a video that shows PassPack in action:
