Global Grind Implements Facebook Connect
True story.
I had just finished reading Lynne’s comment about the influential Black Tech Evangelists on Twitter and decided to start clicking around in people’s profiles and sites. I stumbled across Miss Theda’s site and found a gem. Director Charles Stone III had updated his international, award-winning ‘Wasssup’ commercial for Bud Light to highlight the need for change currently spear-headed by Barack & Co. I made my post over at my blog and decided that I would submit it to Global Grind (GG).
Before I even entered the url, I dreaded having to go through a laborious sign-up and finally make my way back to submitting my article.
Then, almost as if my prayer’s were answered, a nice little message greeted me:
Globalgrind and Facebook are now connected! Sign into globalgrind using your facebook ID. Invite your friends and share content from the grind with them. Sign up today. Click here! Already a member of GG then link your acct here (close)
Saweeeet!
I was already logged into Facebook, and in literally a few clicks, I had my GG account, my account settings updated (to keep the stalkers away), and my post submitted. My avatar was pulled in, my profile details had appeared, and I didn’t have to create a GG-only password.
All I can say is two-claps for GG. I am very impressed at their new Facebook integration app and although I know this innovation has been out for awhile, I think the ubiquity of our favorite social networking app is a must for any new entrepreneur trying to tap a market with their next, greatest idea.
The good things in life are always the simplest, and having to skip another sign up process is definitely on that list.

Good. I go to GG daily. They had a nice set last week at the W, but I don’t think it hit the people who would be users. I am glad they got down with Facebook.
Yay for GG. That’s a sweet feature for sure. Someone is finally getting this — make life easier for the user and you’ll have a successful business. Forget the user, and you FAIL.
Thanks for reporting.
And to be clear: my little list was a mix of folks, not just the techies.
But we can always revisit that list, when I update the Black Tech Bloggers list (and post it right here on BW20).
