Scratch

by Angela Scratch

Ever wish there was a Wii-like game for DJ’ing?  Well come next spring it will no longer be a wish, it will be reality at least on XBox360 and Playstation 3.  Scratch:  The Ultimate DJ is a video game to be relased in collaboration with Genius Products LLC, Genco Interactive, 7 Studios, and QD3 (hip-hop producer to the likes of Tupac and LL Cool J as well as Tech geek like you and I) that tests your DJ skills.  So just how will this video game accomplish this?  By using a realistic turntable controler called Scratch Deck created by Numark.  If this concept sounds familiar it’s because it is.  Think Guitar Hero for Wii.  Scratch will allow you to mix to popular hip-hop tracks as well as orginal music from well known artists.  While my playing Guitar Hero is a FAIL, you can certainly beleive that I can’t wait to try my hand (literally) at Scratch.

I don't think its really any more like than guitar hero wii than guitar hero or rock band for ps3 or xbox 360, or konami's beatmania on ps2 and in the arcade. Unless its significantly better than beatmania, I'm not very excited for it.

@Jazzy: Yeah I am excited for it as well but I am not a gamer by any means ;)

@Richard: Thanks for sharing these links, I had never heard of Beatmania and have only been fortunate enough to play Guitar Hero on Wii, not my forte at all :)
