Global Grind Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

Global Grind, teams up with Smart Water to host four exclusive VIP events celebrating the one-year anniversary of Global Grind’s launch, in conjunction with Russell Simmons birthday (Oct. 4th). Events will take place in select cites with event goers getting an exclusive first look at Global Grind’s new site features.

The first event took place Monday, in Atlanta at the Tongue & Groove, and while there are quite a few videos covering the event, it was very difficult to find one that actually talked about Global Grind. It’s seems as if, at least on the red carpet, that Russell Simmons’ birthday eclipsed Global Grind’s anniversary. But never-the-less I did some digging and stumbled upon a You Tube video with an exclusive interview, albeit brief, with Global Grind CEO Navarrow Wright.

Next up will be a Smart Water/Global Grind Miami bash on October 3rd in conjunction with the Argyle Culture Fashion Show, followed by an invite only New York and Los Angeles parties on October 14th and October 22nd respectively.

  • ok.
They need to save all that money, cause I don't know how long they are going to last. Like really, how do they make money? - it's the same ads and they all are from Russell Simmons.
  • ok2
Obviously, "ok" you don't visit the site. Or know what you're talking about. How are they going to make money??? let's see, ads and its ad network. Duh? Like all haters, you'll be calling them too.
  • I to wonder if they will be around in a year or so... It's nothing like DIGG now, as their content is automatic... No need for a real webmaster to visit and submit articles, etc...

However I see like others, they have launched an AD NETWORK!!
  • Markus: Thanks for the post we are excited about the events that we are having and just had another great event in Miami last night. They are helping to build awareness about our brand. @Ok we make money on advertising but i don't think you have been to the site in a while because we have several premium adverstisers on our site. @BlackADTalk: We will be around and actually we are not trying to be like digg. Digg actually serves less value to the urban audience or to sites like blackweb20. Not because digg is not a great site but it's a general audience play and much like youtube and other social media sites, our content get lost a sea. We are focused on creating a platform where the content our audience is passionate about is front and center. Also we did not launch an ad network. We launched a publisher network. What's the difference? Well, ad networks monetize traffiic don't necessarily grow it. Our platform not only allos bloggers to monetize their sites but also grow their audience. Soon we will offering even more ways from them to promote their content to larger audiences. Please feel free to send comments about what we can do better to feedback@globalgrind.com
    Thanks
