Carol’s Daughter Web 2.0 Swagger
by Angela
Today Carol’s Daughter conducted a bloggers roundtable on Ustream in lieu of a press conference, bloggers and influencer’s were invited to participate, Black Web 2.0 was fortunate to be one of the participants. The purpose of the roundtable was to talk about the launch of CarolsDaughter.tv among many other topics of conversation about hair and skin care. The roundtable was hosted by Lynne d. Johnson and TheKeyInfluencer. If you’re on Twitter you may or may not have noticed or come across the Carol’s Daughter Twitter page. Twitter is just one place the company has a presence at and it is also just the beginning. While in the roundtable I was able to ask about the Carol’s Daughter digital strategy and where the company plans to take it. Think Web 2.0 all the way. The company plans on using web 2.0 tools to extend the brand and using the tools to establish a community. While currently in Beta, the next phase will be released sometime in July and will be much more integrated with the Carol’sDaughter.com site and will reflect “a true integration between e-commerce and content.” Smart move. Other take aways and things to look for in the future…Carol’s Daughter all over the web: Last.fm, Muxtape, and literally embedded into your digital life. What a great way to connect with consumers who not only use your brand but will also embed your widgets, evangelize your products, and in turn will likely become long term consumers in one way, shape or form. Lessons can be learned here.
