Blog, RSS/OPML, Startups, Trends, Web 2.0, blogging

BlackBlogWatch is a very cool site I came across a little while ago. The site tracks black blogs via RSS feeds. We all know that there is a wealth of info…great info out there in the blogosphere. BlackBlogWatch helps you track that info and posts that relate to a specific Black Blog. It also makes it extremely easy to find great content in general. I will give you an example, I was on today and was surfing through their technology category (oh yea, they got a technology category) and came across the Blacks on Games, In Games article originally posted by YBP Guide. The post is about MTV doing a series on their Multiplayer blog called Black Professionals in Games. Considering I am no gamer (the deepest I get are the SIMS games) this gem probably would have escaped. I am sure you guys can see the value in a tool like this.

Thanks for the linkback. The site is actually ‘YBP Guide’, instead of ‘YBF’.

I found BlackBlogWatch a few months ago and was impressed. It definitely is a step-up above our rsspect.org mashup feedreader. They need to clean up some of their feeds as I think they mix some blogs together, but overall a good site.

I spotted them a while back too. And yeah, they do mix up blogs on the feeds. For instance dykc’s feed is mixed in with mine. I’m sure they’ll get it to work correctly soon. It’s a much better aggregator than a lot I’ve seen.

Thanks for the tip; I signed up!

Wish they were more Canada friendly; had to use a US zip code to join :(
