I think it is a needed service service! But what's up with people like Carol Williams Agency, and all the other top BE Ad agencies? I can't tell you how many times I have took interactive media projects to them, and they have slept, or not even responded.I guess it takes someone like Viacom stepping into your space to and driving up the valuation in potential acquisitions you need to grow your business for them to wake up.

Someone needs sit them done and show them EPIC:

Today's internet is geared to be an advertising machine. The only way to be successful is to advertise, have ads on your site or start an ad network.

I agree with you both.

@Lynne:
I would also like to know the 30 sites in the network if only just to simply see the quality and type of ads served. I am also curious about the criteria for publishers in the network and hoping that this will be open to all and not only to "premium content publisher." There is an overwhelming need for something like this and could only benefit BET to open the market up. On the other hand I do understand the need to somewhat screen publishers, especially with a brand that holds so much weight in the culture. I also am curious as to what encompasses "relevant lifestyle content." We shall see...

What would be interesting to know is what the 30 sites are in the advertising network, that would really tell us the value of this play. Complex and Rawkus have networks, but I don't think they'd be able to compete in eyeballs with a BET network regardless of who's in the network.

This is a huge move for BET. The real game in online publishing is who can attract and manage advertisers. Overnight BET has the major player
