You can read Richard’s full article on ReadWriteWeb, the post title is “10 Future Web Trends.”

To date a web application that focuses on the African-American demographic using Web 2.0 technologies (api’s, mash-up’s, ect.) doesn’t exist. Will the ‘web of the future’ for this demographic in 10 years be the same as what is predicted for the mainstream?  I believe so.  I think the first step is a web app for this demographic that integrates personalization, e-commerce, community, content, and vertical search; doing so would be following Sramana Mitra’s definition of Web 3.0.  Mitra’s formula for Web 3.0 is in my opinion is brilliant.  Using her formula the African-American demographic (and niches thereunder) would serve as the context.  I share Mirta’s beliefs of a disjointed web and think when it comes to websites or web applications for African-American’s it becomes even more so disjointed.  A young woman of this demographic may have to go to BlackVoices.com for content, MySpace for community, and for commerce she could actually end up going to each individual online store rather then just going to Ebay or Amazon depening on the products she wants buy.  Simplyifying what could easily be a visit to over 10 websites into 1 website is the future of the web.
